Forests on the Global Food Agenda

The role of forests in the realisation of the 17 recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals, including ending hunger, is becoming increasingly apparent.  Terry Sunderland, a principal scientist with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has explored why forests and food security go hand in hand. He argues that forests are now firmly planted on the global food security agenda, and notes that experts in food, land use and nutrition are working together to find solution
