Fountain of Life project celebrates its second anniversary

June 3, 2014

LEAD_logoConserve Kiboriani – the Fountain of Life is a project initiated by LEAD Foundation for rehabilitating the entire Kiboriani Ecosystem which comprises a range of mountains that covers the two administrative districts of Mpwapwa and Kongwa, in Dodoma Region, Tanzania. In spite of all the potential, Kiboriani is among the few mountain ranges left behind without any formal public care.

Motivated by the excellent results of FMNR in other countries, LEAD Foundation has launched the Kiboriani Project using the FMNR technique in order to restore the glory of the Ecosystem for the life of the present and future generations.

Over the last two years the project has continued to grow steadily and LEAD Foundation has celebrated the second anniversary of the FMNR movement in Mpwapwa and Kongwa districts. From the spread of FMNR in Central Tanzania to plans of establishing a residential FMNR Training of Trainers programme, the past year has been rich of activities and achievements for LEAD Foundation.
