Monitoring
Our Impact
See the Change
Be the Change
Why monitoring matters
To scale up the impact of FMNR and other land restoration efforts, we need to understand what’s working, where, and why. Monitoring helps us capture change on the ground, learn from local experience, and make better decisions. It also helps communities and partners see the value of their efforts and tell powerful stories of restoration.
The goal of monitoring
Through Solstice, we aim to make monitoring simple, useful and inclusive—so that we can track progress, improve practices, and strengthen the impact of FMNR over time.
What is Solstice?
Solstice is a solution to address unique challenges faced by field staff in mapping and monitoring ecosystem restoration work.
Solstice is a platform that can be used to map & monitor restoration sites. Standardised indicators, surveys and sites profiles make collecting meaningful data quick and easy, while also being customisable to meet the unique needs of individual projects and organisations.
It combines precision, simplicity, and efficiency to transform how restoration activities are tracked, shared and reported. With Solstice, site mapping becomes a measurable account of impactful change.
World Vision has invested in the Solstice Platform to develop site profiles, surveys, indicators and dashboards suited to the mapping and monitoring of FMNR & Regreening Sites.
These tools are freely available to any user around the world.
Solstice is a free and open-source, cloud-based, software platform for mapping & monitoring everywhere
